I just watched this video from the TED conference about these little interactive blocks called Siftables. The idea came from the expansion mouse/pointer on the screen. MIT grad student, David Merrill demonstrates Siftables. The little toy-like blocks can do things from mixing colors, play videos off each other, do math and even make music, which I found the most interesting, which appears at the end of the video. The intent for Siftables are to be used as an interactive, hands-on-learning tool as well as change the interface of how we use computers and access information.
