New Beck

My all-time favorite musician, Beck (Bek), is up to his genius, creative ways again since his "make your own album art" for The Information. Beck's site has been overhauled with a new project called "Record Club". Essentially, Beck and many other musicians/friends (such as MGMT and Devendra Banhart) will work together to record one entire album in one day. Then, each week Beck will leak a song from the album, on his website. The first album is the indie essential classic, The Velvet Underground & Nico. The first song, "Sunday Morning" is currently on his site. It has been given a Sea Change feel but still feels like a Velvet Underground song. It is some of Beck's best work since Guero. Beck has been in a depressing slump lately (according to the lyrics in his 2008 album Modern Guilt) and this song suits him well and he knocks it out wonderfully. Hopefully, he can keep things alive with the other tracks from the album. I know I can't wait!
